Orientation Leaders
Meet Your Orientation Leaders
Lateefat Adewale
My name is Lateefat Adewale, and I am thrilled to serve as one of your Orientation Leaders this year. As a second year Business student, I am passionate about making your college experience here unforgettable!
Aside from my academic pursuits, I also take pride in representing you as the Student Government President - and I’ll be running for re-election during Welcome Week! It has been an incredible journey working with our diverse student body to bring positive change and enrich our college community.
When I'm not engaged in student government or attending our fantastic student events, you can find me excelling in the business world as a Marketing Manager at Chick-fil-A.
Beyond my professional life, I enjoy making time for personal interests. Whether it's hanging out with friends, diving into captivating books, or embracing my creative side by building new Lego sets.
I'm here to support you every step of the way. Let's embark on this incredible journey together and make the most out of your time at Bucks County Community College!
Can't wait to meet each and every one of you, see you soon!
Alyssa Buczek
My name is Alyssa Buczek, and I’m currently majoring in Business Administration. I have been at Bucks for three semesters, and I love the sense of community I feel here both in and out of class. There are always familiar and friendly faces! I am an officer and member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and take classes full time.
Outside of school when I’m not at work, I can be found napping, playing soccer, snowboarding, or finding the nearest cliff jumping spot. Fun fact: I love Chipotle!
Ava Courchain
I'm a Business Administration major at Bucks County Community College. In my first year, I connected with peers and attended as many student activities as I could in hopes to get the full experience as a college student. I absolutely love the student life and the opportunities to be involved that the college offers! Bucks has continued to exceed my expectations. I am part of the Bucks Business Association, the NSLS, and have actively been involved with the Student Life Office. If I'm not attending classes or on campus, you can find me hiking with my dog, spending time with my family, or hammocking in nature. I’m excited to meet our new students this year!
Christian Grosso
My name is Christian, and I am very excited to be one of your student orientation leaders! I graduated from Neshaminy High School in 2020 and am majoring in journalism here at Bucks. If all goes according to plan, I will have my Associates by this upcoming spring! After Bucks, my goal is to get a bachelors in Broadcast Journalism, which I will use to get into the news broadcasting industry as a reporter and news anchor. While at Bucks, you may see me going around trying to interview people for a story in our school newspaper, The Centurion.
In my spare time, I am what people call “a weather weenie”. I have had a huge interest in weather most of my life, and even considered majoring in meteorology, but it’s very intense in math, which is not a bright spot for me. Nevertheless, I still attempt to make my own forecasts when I can, and enjoy a good thunderstorm. I’ve even somehow had run-ins with three tornadoes, including an EF-3, which was absolutely terrifying.
If you would like to know what's going on around Bucks, read The Centurion, and follow us on Instagram @centurion_bucks.
Katheryn Hastings
My name is Katheryn Hastings, and I am an Exercise Science major at Bucks. I transferred to Bucks my sophomore year, and it was the best decision I could have made. I joined the softball team after playing my freshman year at a different university and enjoyed my experience more than I could’ve imagined. I made a lot of friends and have even grown relationships with professors and other faculty that have made me feel super welcome and involved with the school. Outside of Bucks, I love to be outdoors, and I love coaching softball. I love to travel whenever I can, especially to California. Some other fun facts about me are that I absolutely love music - especially country! I’m so excited for this upcoming year at Bucks and am looking forward to getting more involved and meeting more people!
Madelynn Hower
My name is Madelynn, but you can call me Maddy. I major in Exercise Science and play for the softball team. My life is kinda crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Being a student at Bucks has allowed me to meet new people and create friendships that help me with my educational journey. You’re going to love it here!
Mackenzie McBride
My name is Mackenzie McBride, and I am a second year Communications Major at BCCC. I transferred to Bucks two years ago and am finishing up my final semester before I attend Gwynedd Mercy University. At Bucks, I served as the Student Representative on the Student Affairs Committee, an orientation leader, and worked as the art gallery attendant last year. Outside of Bucks, I run a small baking business, love to travel and spend almost every Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field working for the Philadelphia Eagles as a concierge in the FanDuel lounge. Go Birds! And welcome to Bucks!
Colleen Mellor
My name is Colleen Mellor, and I’m a seasoned student in my final year at BCCC. I have chosen Social Work as my major. I sing professionally as my "job" yet consider it a fortunate interest! A fact about myself that I am quite proud of is that I am in long-term recovery for 37 years. I love spending time at our lake lot or down the shore with friends and family. I am a wife, mom, and grandmom with my son and daughter-in-law having given birth to identical triplet boys at the end of May! I am the former co-president and current member of Phi Theta Kappa. I am a universal advocate for change and marginalized people. What I love most about our college, that I do not believe many students take advantage of, are the people and resources that are readily available, yet the individual has to stay informed and show up! I am happy that I have been my own advocate in my college journey!
Mann Patel
My name is Mann Patel. I am multilingual and can speak four languages which are Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu in English. I am from a state name Gujarat which is in the western part of India. I moved to the USA on an immigration visa in 2019. I lived in Tampa, FL for six months and started high school there before I moved to Bensalem to complete my senior year at Bensalem High School. Now, I am in my third year here at Bucks County Community College majoring in exercise science. I am the President of the Gardening Club and have served as the secretary of the Student Government Association for the last two years. My favorite part of being a Bucks student is meeting people from different ethnicities and making friends. I like to make friends, and if anybody has any questions, come talk to me and I will be happy to help. I think the best thing someone can do in their college life is to make contacts that can be helpful. There is always something going on campus that is so helpful for students to learn different things. There are so many different clubs and organizations on campus which students can join. Our Student Life Office plans many fun activities on campus like leadership seminars, fun trips, volunteering opportunities, ice cream socials on campus, movie nights, and so much more. I have never seen a zip line in a college, but here at Bucks we have a zip line and even some rope courses which are so fun!
Jacqui Leming-Russell
I’m Jacqui Leming-Russell, and I’m a last-year student majoring in Psychology. I’m super involved here on campus, because there are tons of things to do! I am a Student Success Advocate, the President of the Psychology Club, a member of the Drama Club, and on the Dean’s List. I’m also a proud mom of a Bucks student! So glad you’re here with us, too!
