Bucks County Community College’s 300-hour Esthetics Program provides the education and training needed to pursue licensure as an esthetician in Pennsylvania.
Offered in partnership with Upper Bucks County Technical School at its Perkasie campus, this evening program combines classroom instruction with practical experience in a simulated salon environment.

What You’ll Learn
Develop the knowledge, practical skills, and professional foundation needed to pursue a career in esthetics. Training takes place in a simulated salon environment and includes instruction in:
- Skin anatomy, diseases, and disorders
- Facial procedures and treatments
- Facial makeup techniques and products
- Infection control, sanitation, and safety
- Spa therapies
- Industry orientation and professional success
Where Esthetics Training Can Take You
Licensed estheticians work in a variety of skincare, beauty, and wellness settings, including salons, spas, skincare studios, and related businesses. Employment of skincare specialists, which includes estheticians, is projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations nationally.
Along with developing professional and interpersonal skills, students receive career guidance and job-search support as they prepare to enter the esthetics field.

Prepare for Pennsylvania Licensure
The 300-hour Esthetics Program provides the education and training required to pursue esthetician licensure in Pennsylvania.
After successfully completing the program, students can pursue the required Pennsylvania State Board examination and continue through the licensure process. Licensure is required to practice esthetics professionally in Pennsylvania and helps ensure practitioners meet state standards for training, safety, and professional practice.
