A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in the delivering of treatment plans for individuals with a variety of behavioral needs, including autism spectrum disorders (ASD), brain injuries, Alzheimer's disease and addiction. RBTs work with BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analysts) as part of a clinical team to implement treatment plans that support the growth and success of their clients. RBTs work with clients to help them learn practical and necessary skills in areas such as safety, communication, self-advocacy, and independence.
