World Languages

Learn a new language in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere, learn to communicate by using simple grammatical structures and useful phrases related to travel, business and more. A dash of culture and current events will be included!

  • Course Level I: For beginners only, for students who have no experience with the language.
  • Course Level II: For students who have completed Course I, or who have a basic knowledge of the language.
  • Course Level III and beyond: For students who have completed Course II, or who have a good understanding of the language.

Sequel courses will continue to be offered as long as there is sufficient interest.

Introduction into the Italian language, vocabulary, and grammar. Participants will learn foundational grammar, everyday greetings, polite expressions, numbers, time telling, regular and irregular verbs, basic I/you (singular) verb conjugation, commonly used verbs, nouns and adjectives.

This course is a continuation of Italian 1A & B or for those with some basic knowledge of Italian. We will expand vocabulary and grammar to engage in more detailed use of the language in the present and past. We will improve grammatical structures as well as speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will be able to engage with everyday situations with greater confidence and gain a deeper appreciation of the Italian language.
