Building & Construction Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program

Do you enjoy working with your hands and want to learn the skills necessary to start a career in an in-demand field? The Building & Construction Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program at Bucks is for you!
Building and construction skilled workers are in high demand. BCCC offers free training in partnership with the Philadelphia Building and Construction Labor Unions designed to help you build the skills needed to start a career in the building and construction trades.
You will learn from union industry experts with extensive experience, explore career pathways in the trades, and receive support connecting to entry-level employment opportunities. Graduates will have the opportunity to be placed in an entry-level trades position while pursuing a registered apprenticeship and building a long-term career in the trades.
The 10-week, 288-hour curricula will provide the fundamental education necessary for graduates to apply for a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) and work in the field. Additionally, you will earn GPRO Green Construction, OSHA-10-Construction, CPR & First Aid/AED and Aerial Platform Lift Safety certificates.
Located on the Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks, the program is held in-person at the Center for Advanced Technologies (CAT) at 1302 Veterans Highway, Bristol, PA. Classes are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Before you can apply for the Building & Construction Trades program, you must attend a mandatory in-person information session at the Center for Advanced Technologies, Bristol.
All sessions begin at 1 p.m. (ET).

Program Highlights
- Free training for those who meet grant and program eligibility
- 10-week, in-person program held Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Hands-on training that prepares you for an apprenticeship in the trades and high-demand, entry-level jobs with one-on-one support from Bucks' career team
- Union guest speakers and training tours as well as networking opportunities with local employers
- Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply
Program Requirements
To be eligible for the program, you must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen/possess a Green Card and a resident of PA
- Have high school diploma or GED
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Pass a drug screening (marijuana is a fail), criminal background check, math test and mechanical aptitude test
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Be committed to starting a job in the trades upon graduation
