A one-man show that explores LeLand’s personal journey to understand and eventually transcend racism in America. We follow his life story -- from an underprivileged childhood in the ghettos of McKeesport, Pennsylvania to teenage experiments with crime and drugs to scholastic achievement and an acting career that land adult LeLand in situations where he is virtually the only African-American in the room. 12pm show is Student short version. 7:30pm- Full show version.

New Feathers Reading Series: BEYOND

!!DATE HAS BEEN MOVED TO SUNDAY MARCH 27!! BEYOND tells the story of Marie, an elderly woman who befriends a mysterious Creature that suddenly arrives at her home. The Creature slowly brings forth lost memories of the relationship Marie had with her daughter. What she learns through these memories reveal a deeper truth. This story, told in nonlinear time, explores a mother/daughter relationship, as well as the many facets of how one's reality can be perceived… and what may actually lie beyond.

The Kevin and Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center hosts musical and theatrical performances, business conferences, and educational events throughout the year. The Zlock Performing Arts Center offers exceptional staging, lighting, and acoustics in an intimate 339-seat theater. The venue is located at the Bucks County Community College Newtown Campus, just 45 minutes north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Built in 1971 and upgraded in 2000, the Zlock Performing Arts Center is also available for rent on a limited basis to external for-profit and non-profit groups and organizations.

Theater Policies

In an ongoing effort to ensure the safety, security, and convenience of Zlock Performing Arts Center patrons and performers, we ask that you please take a moment to review our policies.

  • Box Office

    Opens one hour before all events.

  • Late Seating

    Late seating is at the discretion of House Management and may not be possible for some performances. If you arrive late, ushers will seat you at the earliest appropriate time during the performance. Out of respect for the performers on stage and the other audience members, you will be asked to wait in the lobby with the usher until the appropriate seating break. In some cases, this will not be until intermission, so please plan accordingly. If you need to leave the performance early, we ask that you leave at a point in the performance when moving around would be of minimal disturbance to those around you. When you return, you will be asked to wait with the usher until the next seating break.

  • Cell Phone & Camera Usage

    All electronic devices must be turned off or silenced during performances.

  • Food & Beverages

    Food and beverages are not permitted in the Zlock Performing Arts Center theater.

  • Lost & Found

    The Bucks Security Office (Cottage 4) oversees and manages any items left behind. Found items will be kept secure in our Security Office for two weeks. Personal items found such as wallets, ID cards, credit cards, and keys will immediately be turned into the Security Office. Please call 215-968-8911 to inquire about lost items.

  • VIP Tickets

    Must be at least 21 (ID checked at door). All VIP guests receive entry to VIP reception (6 - 7:20 p.m.) in private area with lite hors d'oeuvres and two wine, beer or non-alcoholic drinks per person. Artist Meet & Greet included when noted.

  • Discounts

    Bucks faculty and staff, alumni and Arts & Cultural Council Bucks County members save 10% off each online order for select shows, Please call or visit the Box Office for savings code. Current Bucks students with valid ID receive free admission to select performances as noted. Please call or visit Box Office for tickets.

  • Seniors

    65+; Enjoy 10% off all General or VIP priced tickets by calling or visiting our Box office at 215- 968-8469 to receive savings code.

  • Groups

    Groups of 6 or more receive $2.00 off per ticket - no code needed.

Theater Accessibility

The Kevin & Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center accommodates the needs of individuals with physical disabilities. We provide seats for patrons with limited mobility, accommodation for Personal Care Attendants, as well as Assisted Listening technology.

  • Limited Mobility

    Accessible seats are available for people with mobility disabilities and their companions. People who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices and people who cannot climb steps, or walk long distances are permitted to purchase Accessible Seats. People who, because of their disability, cannot sit in a straight-back chair, or those whose service dogs cannot lie safely in the aisle, are also permitted to purchase Accessible Seats. Please mention your specific needs when purchasing your tickets.

  • Personal Care Attendants

    We provide complimentary admission for government-funded or paid personal care attendants (PCAs) whose attendance is required to enable people with severe disabilities (i.e. people who require around-the-clock assistance) to attend events. Depending on the event and the location of the ticketed patron's seat, the PCA will either be provided a seat or will be directed to a location nearby where the PCA can stand. Any request for a complimentary PCA admission must be made when purchasing the patron's ticket by calling the Box Office at 215-968-8087.

  • Assisted Listening

    For people with hearing impairments, we offer T-Coil technology loop that covers the entire inner theater and additional bodypack listening devices are available in the lobby of the theater from the house manager. Reserve your assisted listening device when you place your order over the phone or in-person at the Box Office. Upon arrival at the Kevin &Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center, please see the house manager to receive your assisted listening device. A photo ID is required.
