About eLearning Courses
Online courses are asynchronous meaning that students do not need to be logged in to their course at a set time; however, there will be specific assignment due dates and testing windows. Testing for online courses are conducted in Canvas and may require proctored testing via Proctor U. Proctored testing services are available free of charge on a walk-in basis at Bucks County Community College Testing Center, if allowed by your instructor. For students unable to travel to the Bucks County Community College testing facilities, an alternative proctor testing site is required and must be pre-approved.
To succeed in an online course, you must have access to a computer with a reliable Internet connection and be comfortable using online technologies to learn independently. You may also be required to participicipate in or interact with multimedia learning. Other special requirements may be detailed on the Faculty Syllabus, accessed by clicking the title of the course on the Course Offerings page.
Bucks Online classes use Canvas, our cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS) that makes teaching and learning interactive.
