Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled a few of the questions we are frequently asked about Weekend College. Please contact us at weekendcollege@bucks.edu if you have any further questions.

Is it true that I can complete a certificate in less than one year or an associate degree in as few as 17 months by attending classes only on weekends?

Yes! Students can meet the requirements of programs offered by our Weekend College by taking in-person classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays, along with taking advantage of our online and hybrid offerings.

When can I start taking courses in the Weekend College?

The Weekend College program starts in fall 2023 and enrollment is open now. Classes start on August 23.

Do Weekend College courses differ from other Bucks course offerings?

Weekend College course content conforms with all of the same requirements as our other course offerings and students are held to the same academic performance standards.

How do I know which courses to take and when to take them?

Once accepted into the Weekend College program, you will join a cohort of students who will be working through the same program requirements. Your advisor will serve as your resource to guide you through your program requirements and to ensure that you select the appropriate courses in your sequence to graduate in a timely manner.

How do I apply to the Weekend College?

All students are required to apply for admission to Bucks County Community College. Once you are admitted to the College, you may apply to the Weekend College program by completing the brief online form below.

Fill out my online form.
When and where are Weekend College classes held?

The majority of Weekend College classes are held at the Gene & Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks located at 1304 Veterans Hwy, Bristol, PA. Classes are scheduled on Friday evenings (typically from 6-9 p.m.) and on Saturdays (typically starting at 9 a.m.). Students admitted to the Paralegal Studies Certificate program attend classes at the Newtown Campus, located at 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA.

How much does the Weekend College cost?

Tuition and fees for Weekend College courses are the same as all other Bucks courses and modalities. Students admitted to the Weekend College pay an additional $75 per term fee, which covers programming such as networking events with key players in your desired field, career exploration activities, special group meals, and more. Students in the Weekend College program will be uniquely positioned not only to graduate from their program in a timely manner, but to enter the workforce as soon as practicable upon graduation.

Can I apply for financial aid if I attend Weekend College?

Absolutely. Financial aid is available through grants, loans, scholarships, and tuition reimbursement (with qualifying employers). Learn more about financial aid.
