Dental Assistant for Non-Native English Speakers
Dental Assistant for Non-Native English Speakers is designed for intermediate and advanced English language learners (ELLs) who want to become dental assistants. Bucks County Community College offers this accelerated evening program, which you can complete in five months. Career counseling and job placement assistance are also available.
The program includes two courses:
- English for Dental Assisting: A self-paced, 40-hour course that builds vocabulary and English skills.
- Dental Assistant: A hybrid course with one weekly class on campus and one live online. This course teaches the skills needed to work as a dental assistant and prepare for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam.

Program Cost
The Dental Assistant for Non-Native English Speakers costs $4,100. You may be eligible to participate for free through PA CareerLink® funding. Payment plans are also available. Contact our office for more details.
Spring Course Offerings
The Dental Assistant course is a hybrid format held two days a week. Each week includes one in-person session and one live online session on Zoom. You must attend both sessions.
