Meet Doug Smith, Trainer and Coach
Doug specializes in helping frontline leaders develop the skills needed to build collaborative, cohesive, high-performance teams. His experience includes working with leaders across a variety of industries, including finance, insurance, sales, retail, customer service, entertainment, and nonprofit organizations.
He creates spaces where people can do their best work, explore possibilities with curiosity, challenge assumptions respectfully, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Doug helps leaders solve problems and achieve their goals.
He earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Cairn University and a bachelor’s degree in communication and theater arts from The College of New Jersey. Doug was instrumental in rolling out the LeaderShift program at AIG Direct and has been training and coaching leaders for more than 30 years.

I’d already been instructing for another college and BCCC proved to be a better fit, closer, and staffed with the best people around!
Training is a process and requires the discipline to support the learning by prioritizing their involvement.
I am a musician (singer/songwriter guitarist) and an artist (my primary medium is collage). I’m also a parent and grandparent so I enjoy time with my family.
