A Q&A with Allyson Hiltgen
22 years
I enjoy people in general. If I can help someone new to technology learn something and get them interested or teach someone in technology a new skill that is a good day. Corporate training usually has a mixed skillset and I enjoy balancing out the information so everyone learns something useful to help them accomplish their job.
I was working as a Network Engineer and a Professor from Bucks suggested I apply to the IT Academy. I started teaching part time and that lead to a satisfying career.
Make sure your employees receive the proper training to complete their job. There is nothing more frustrating than seeing someone struggle to complete a task that a few hours of training could have mitigated. Instead of frustration they may enjoy the work and want to learn more to increase efficiency.
I enjoy the beach, kayaking, scuba diving, walking and playing games with friends.
