High School Dual Enrollment
Start Earning College Credit in High School
Through the Dual Enrollment program at Bucks County Community College, you can earn college credit while you are still in high school.
You can take college-level courses during the school day at participating high schools. If your school does not participate or does not offer the course you want, you can take classes at a Bucks campus or online.
To find out if your high school participates, contact your school counselor.
How to Apply for Dual Enrollment
Follow these steps to get started.
- Apply to Bucks
Complete the application and select “High School Dual Enrollment.”
- Complete Placement Testing or Submit a Waiver
You may need to take placement tests.
You may qualify for a waiver if you meet one of these requirements:
- Junior with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
Ask your high school to send waiver documents to waivers@bucks.edu.
- Confirm Eligibility and Choose Courses
Meet with your high school counselor to confirm you can earn dual credit.
- Submit the Dual Enrollment Intent to Enroll Form
Submit a new form each semester in Workday Student before you register.
- Pay Tuition
Pay your tuition to complete your registration.
Dual Enrollment courses are offered at a reduced rate. Fees may vary by course.
What You Need to Know
- Complete placement testing. Some students may qualify for a waiver.
- Placement test waivers:
- Juniors: 3.25+ GPA
- Seniors: 3.00+ GPA
- Submit the Dual Intent to Enroll form before you register.
- Financial aid is available only after you graduate from high school.
- IEPs do not transfer to college. Contact the Accessibility Office to request accommodations.
- You must complete your own enrollment steps to gain real college experience.

Ask your student to take an active role in the enrollment process.
You can support them by making sure they complete each step. All information submitted must be the student’s own, including their email address and other contact details.
Students in this program are considered college students at Bucks. The enrollment process helps them build skills and confidence for college.

Students may qualify for a placement test waiver based on GPA:
- Juniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher

Your steps to becoming a Bucks degree-seeking student are simple!
- Choose Your Major
Log in to your student account and submit the Change of Major form.
As a high school student, you were enrolled in a non-degree program. You must choose a major, even if you are undecided. Bucks offers many majors, also called programs of study.
- Meet With an Advisor
Schedule an appointment with an advisor to choose your courses.
Follow the instructions for new students, even if you have already taken classes at Bucks.
- Send AP Scores (If Applicable)
If you took Advanced Placement (AP) exams, you may be eligible for college credit.
Ask the College Board to send your official AP scores to the Bucks Registrar’s Office.
