- Students must be accepted to Bucks County Community College's Act 120 Municipal Police Academy to enroll in this course. Students must maintain satisfactory progress in the Academy as required and defined by the Pennsylvania Police Officers' Education & Training Commission (MPOETC) to successfully complete the course. Students are required to adhere to all MPOETC Municipal Police Officer Basic Training Program rules and regulations.
- VI. Catalog Course Description
- This course addresses core foundations of policing, including drug law enforcement, operation of patrol vehicles, physical and emotional readiness, firearms, control tactics, and emergency response. Cadets build essential knowledge and practical skills needed for safe, lawful, and effective entry-level police work.

- Examine the role of police investigators in the judicial process;
- Analyze the theories and structure of police organization and leadership styles; and
