Alumni Achievement Awards
Nominate an Alumni
Each year, Bucks County Community College recognizes alumni for outstanding achievements and contributions to their profession, their community, and their alma mater. If you wish to nominate yourself or another qualified alumna or alumnus of the College, please complete the nomination form.
Nominees must have graduated from Bucks in a degree or certificate program, or completed more than 30 credit hours. Please note that members of the Bucks Alumni Council cannot be nominated.
Award Categories
- Alumni Association President’s Distinguished Award: For the alumnus who is advancing the mission of the college by supporting students in their learning experiences; empowering students with the skills and credentials to secure employment; developing the social, ethical, and civic responsibility of students; and/or enriching the intellectual, cultural, and recreational life of the community. In 255 words or less, and including specific examples, describe how the nominee is advancing the mission of the college through supporting students. Include as many details about the ways in which the nominee supports, enriches, empowers and helps the students learn and grow.
- Centurion Award: For the alumnus and employee of the College whose leadership skills and engagement in the College community, and/or the community at large, enhances the quality of life for students and enriches the College community and/or community at large. Such contributions to the College and community exceed expectations of an alumnus and employee. In 255 words or less, explain how the alumnus/employee’s skills and engagement in the College/community enhances the quality of life for Bucks students and the community. Be as specific as possible, using examples of how the nominee goes above and beyond for Bucks.
- Community Service Award: For the alumnus who is making a positive difference through service that has benefited the Bucks community and/or the community at large. In 255 words or less, and including specific examples, describe the service that the nominee provides, and how that service benefits the Bucks community. Name any relevant service organizations that the nominee is affiliated with and any known relevant volunteer activities in which the nominee participates.
- Professional Achievement Award: For the alumnus whose outstanding professional achievements in their vocational field have brought distinction to themselves and real benefit to the community. In 255 words or less, explain the nominee’s profession and using specific examples, describe their professional achievements. If possible, include any degrees, awards, or accomplishments. Explain how Bucks played a role in their success and how their success benefits the Bucks County Community College and/or the community at large.
