How will the program set students up for careers within supply chain?

The program is intended to help the students in three main ways: Financially, Educationally, and Professionally. The program will help alleviate the financial burden of student debt and help the student focus on developing their careers. Once the students achieve their associates degree from Bucks County Community College, they have the option to attend Temple University, on scholarship, to focus on supply chain management. Throughout the student’s journey, they will have the opportunity to intern at The Estée Lauder Companies’ facilities in Bristol, PA.

How much money is The Estée Lauder Companies donating to fund this program?

200k is the first donation The Estée Lauder Companies is making to Bucks County Community College which will help support approximately 20 students achieve their associates degree. This donation will also help support a faculty fellow dedicated to supporting the students within the program.

Aside from the initial donation to Bucks, how else will The Estée Lauder Companies partner with the college?

The Estée Lauder Companies will offer operational learning and mentorship opportunities throughout the journey.

Why did The Estée Lauder Companies choose to donate to Bucks and not another entity or college/university?

Bucks County Community College was selected to partner on this program, as it is the local community college to the The Estée Lauder Companies manufacturing and distribution operations in Bristol, PA.

Will The Estée Lauder Companies make reoccurring donations to Bucks?

The Estée Lauder Companies and Bucks County Community College intend for this to be a long-term program. As we are in the initial stages of the pilot program, we will determine additional donations and funding required at the appropriate time.

Why is this investment significant for Bucks County Community College?

This is the largest single corporate donation for Bucks County Community College. This investment helps strengthen and uplift the community. This program/donation will help show a clear line of sight to education and professional development opportunities to the students in the community.

What is the application process to enroll in the program?

The process for the initial cohort included 2 steps:

  1. Completing a “badge” through Bucks+ (Suitable), including watching a video with Temple University Supply Chain professors, signing an intent to enroll with Temple University, attending a professional development program at Bucks County Community College, and touring The Estée Lauder Companies manufacturing or distribution site.
  2. Once the badge was completed, students applied for the program, by submitting their answers to 4 questions regarding their interest in supply chain, their leadership style, and how financial assistance would impact them.

Students must complete the FAFSA annually.

How will students be selected to enroll in the program?

Students completing the above steps will be selected for an interview based on their engagement during the process and application, to be interviewed by a panel of The Estée Lauder Companies, Bucks County Community College and Temple University representatives.

When will the scholarship funding be made available to Bucks students?

We anticipate funding to be available to selected participants for the semester starting in January 2023.
