Pharmacy Technician for Non-Native English Speakers

Build your English skills. Train for a healthcare career. Prepare for national certification.

The Pharmacy Technician for Non-Native English Speakers program is designed for high-intermediate to advanced English learners who want to start a career as a pharmacy technician.

In approximately four (4) months, you will strengthen your English for the pharmacy workplace, complete pharmacy technician training, and prepare for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam.

Career counseling and job placement assistance are also available to help you take the next step toward employment.

How the Program Works

The program includes two courses:

1. English for Pharmacy Technician – 40 hours
Build the pharmacy vocabulary and English communication skills you will need to succeed in pharmacy technician training and in the workplace. This course is completed online at your own pace.

2. Pharmacy Technician Comprehensive
Learn the knowledge and skills needed to work as a pharmacy technician and prepare for the PTCB certification exam. This hybrid course meets twice each week:

  • One class on campus
  • One live online class on Zoom

Students must attend both the in-person and live online sessions.

Program Cost

The Pharmacy Technician for Non-Native English Speakers costs $3,950. You may be eligible to participate for free through PA CareerLink® funding. Contact our office for more details.

Please note: Textbooks and the PTCB certification exam are additional costs.

Spring 2027 Course Offerings

The Pharmacy Technician course is a hybrid format held two days a week. Each week includes one in-person session and one live online session on Zoom. You must attend both sessions.
