Walter C. Stoertz, Jr.
Walter C. Stoertz Jr. is a retired Federal Court Administrator and a Bucks County civic leader.
During his 35-year career with the United States Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Walter held several senior leadership positions, including Administrator to the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court, Chief Deputy Clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and Acting Clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He served on the Human Resources Advisory Council to the Judicial Conference of the United States and was awarded the designation of Lifelong Fellow of the Institute of Court Management upon completion of its prestigious Judicial Fellowship program. He is also the recipient of an award for outstanding service in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Since his retirement, Walter has remained actively involved in supporting educational, civic, and cultural organizations throughout Bucks County. Prior to his service on the Board of Trustees of Bucks County Community College, he served on the College's Foundation Board of Directors and as president of its Alumni Council. Having graduated from the College in 1977, Walter remains a strong supporter of the institution and its mission.
Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Bucks County Playhouse, where he has chaired the Playhouse Advocacy Board and served as vice chair of the Playhouse Artists Board. He also serves as a board member on the Board of Directors of the Bucks County Herald Foundation and the Board of Directors of Foundations Community Partnership. He volunteers for the United Way's Bucks Knocks Out Hunger campaign and is a member of the New Hope Historic Society.
Walter is a longtime resident of Bucks County and currently resides in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania.
