- This course is a 4-credit course totaling 3750 minutes: 3 credits (2250 minutes) theory and 1 credit (1500 minutes) lab. PLA may be used for nurse aide prerequisite if training occurred outside of BCCC.
- VI. Catalog Course Description
- This course provides a study of the role of an unlicensed Patient Care Technician in acute care settings and the skills needed to perform this role. Topics include safety; patient assessment; blood and specimen collection; surgery and immobility; and patient care and comfort.
