2025 Graduate Spotlight: Adrian Tyrk

Adrian TyrkAdrian Tyrk is graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry and will transfer to Swarthmore College to study biochemistry, with an ultimate goal of attending medical school. He hopes to become a dermatologist with a focus on Mohs surgery to treat skin cancer. Here at Bucks, he says he’s “most proud of learning to fall in love with learning and finding my passion for medicine.”
Adrian’s high achievements earned him a spot on the Pennsylvania Association for Community College’s 2025 All-Pennsylvania Academic Team. In his spare time, the Conwell-Egan graduate is a horticulture volunteer at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, N.J.
“I chose Bucks because I heard it was a reputable and affordable community college. However, more importantly, I fell in love with Bucks because of its welcoming atmosphere, beautiful campus, knowledgeable professors, and supportive faculty,” Adrian said. “I have too many favorite professors and classes to name, but initially, Professor Michalovic's general chemistry class inspired me to change my major from engineering to chemistry. Despite disliking chemistry in high school, his teaching made chemistry accessible and allowed me to see the beauty of the science behind it.”
