2025 Graduate Spotlight: Leah Lovelace-Square
Leah Lovelace-Square is graduating with an Associate of Arts degree in Guided Studies with two concentrations: management, leadership, entrepreneurship and business; and culture and society.Raised in a military family, Leah grew up in four states and three countries. At Baumholder American High School in Germany, she was exposed to many youth and leadership programs that motivated her consistent drive to break glass ceilings.
Since 2010, Leah has worked with her husband to mentor youth to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. In 2022, they created P.U.U.S.H. to offer faith-inspired resources, awareness, and programs to enhance academic excitement and offer life-skill training and leadership development for Bristol and Morrisville‘s underprivileged youth. The program is designed to “Push Underprivileged, Underestimated Students Higher” by exposing them to various opportunities in the hope of a brighter future.
In 2020, Leah published her first inspirational book, The Silent Victim – Testimonies of a Nobody. She has worked in the hotel industry for eighteen years as a manager and director, and serves as a deaconess at Refuge for My Soul Holiness Church in Bristol.
Leah says her favorite Bucks memory was when she was honored in January with the College’s Martin Luther King Student Leadership Award.
“The night of the MLK awards ceremony was incredible,” said Leah. “To have the opportunity to be the recipient of the award, and to be around like-minded people, and just to celebrate and recognize a man that made a difference in our country had a lasting impact on me.”
Her next steps are to continue to grow her nonprofit by offering a summer leadership program, and to transfer into a Christian counseling program.
