GETTING THE PERFECT SHOT RFNRT 2585 C01

Let freelance photographer Tom DeLorenzo give you an in-depth look at camera operations, basic photographic technique, image composition and post-processing, to help you elevate your photographs from ordinary to extraordinary. Sessions will rotate from the classroom to local shoot sites (weather permitting) to implement and practice those newly acquired skills over 4 projects. EXPLORING THE WATER MEDIA AT THE LOWER BUCKS CAMPUS RFNRT 8057 C50

This class will look at all the possibilities and techniques so valuable to the creative process. The similarities and differences will be discussed and explored through the actual use of watercolor and acrylic. Design elements and principles will be an important part of this class as well as critque for all who are interested.
About the Instructor: Rose Marie Strippoli is an award winning artist who currently belongs to a variety of local Bucks County artist groups. She has studied at Bowling Green and Jacksonville Universities, Bucks County Community College, and Lorain County Community College, and has attended workshops around the world. Her acrylics, enamels, watercolors and handbuilt pottery, have garnered numerous awards and ribbons. In 2012 Rosemarie received special recognition from the Ohio Watercolor Society for having 10 paintings accepted into their juried shows. The artist Cecilia Beaux was advised by seascape artist Alexander Harrison to take up plein air painting to help her portrait and figure painting. The idea was to quickly render the subject before the subject moved or the environment changed. Premier coup and All prima painting is painting that is completed generally in one to two sittings with minimal touch-up. You will learn the necessary techniques to complete a painting in a short time period without over analyzing from a still life setup. Emphasis will be on a quick interpretation of color, technique, and composition. Note: Please bring whatever supplies you have and a supply list will be given out the first night of class.

Express yourself in the class and learn the basic and advanced instruction in oil painting. You will learn color
theory, drawing, perspective, and problem solving. You will be encouraged to develop critical thinking skills, explore
new techniques, and express your ideas using the oil paint medium.
OIL PAINTING FOR THE BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE RFNRT 8050 CFM
Students will be introduced to painting materials (paint surfaces, paints, brushes, solvents), palette preparation and process. Instruction will focus on distinguishing and using opaque and transparent colors to greatest effect, color blending to attain dramatic values/hues and introducing mediums and solvents for glazing.
Work from still-life set-ups or bring planned ideas and compositions to class. Approach painting either through classical preparations or the direct painting technique.
The focus of the course will be on discovering the versatility of oil paints and gaining small but incremental successes. Individual instruction will target the needs of both beginner and experienced painters so come and enjoy an afternoon of creative expression in the visual arts.

Put your creativity to work and learn how to cast bronze and silver on a small-scale! Explore the age-old techniques
used in lost-wax and centrifugal casting. After completion of the course, you will get to take home an original creation
of your own, such as a ring or small sculpture of equivalent size.

You will study the works of painters. You will learn to identify techniques used by these painters by examing and duplicating the works, before creating works of your own in the style of the painter studied.
