    Students spend between six and nine hours per week outside of class in activities such as learning vocabulary, reading, completing written exercises, working on pronunciation, preparing oral presentations, and working with the multimedia files that accompany the text.
  6. Catalog Course Description

    This course reviews basic essentials of vocabulary and grammatical constructions and presents some constructions not studied in the Elementary French sequence. The course also provides material for a solid foundation in conversation and composition. It continues to place emphasis on knowledge and appreciation of the culture of French-speaking countries.

        2. recognize and respond appropriately and with increasing detail to the most common spoken situations;

        4. explain an increasing number of aspects of life in French-speaking countries.
