- Students participate in an on-the-job experience and observation in a field directly related to their academic preparation and career objectives in marketing/retail. Students periodically review actual experience and observation in the light of theory and skills learned academically with a College Coordinator.

- demonstrate an understanding of the value of employers in supporting College curricula.
Planned Sequence of Topics and/or Learning Activities
- All students must attend and participate in a Co-op meeting arranged by the Course Coordinator.
- All students must work a minimum of 200 hours during the semester period in which the student is enrolled in this course. Students will maintain a log to register days, times, and total hours worked that will be signed by the student and the student's immediate supervisor. The log will be turned in by the student to the Course Coordinator, to be verified with the employer, and it will be evaluated by the coordinator as a part of the student's final grade.
- All students will complete an in-depth typewritten project and submit one copy to his or her employer and two copies to the Course Coordinator, and keep one copy for his/her personal file.
- Each student will be evaluated by his/her employer using the criteria established by the Course Coordinator in conjunction with the employer's standards of performance.
- Each student will submit a resume.
Assessment Methods for Course Learning GoalsCourse learning goals are assessed by an evaluation of the student log, an in-depth project, and resume submitted to their Course Coordinator. They are also evaluated by his/her employer using coordinated criteria that includes: an employer questionnaire survey and an employer interview.
