    This course will survey the historical antecedents of the historic preservation movement in America and introduce students to its theoretical foundations.

      1. To identify the historical antecedents of the historic preservation movement
      2. To understand how Bucks County�s built environment reflects the national preservation movement
      3. To appreciate the rationale behind historic preservation theory and philosophy
      4. To communicate to the general public and governmental agencies the need for historic preservation at the local level
