This course will survey the historical antecedents of the historic preservation movement in America and introduce students to its theoretical foundations. -

- To understand how Bucks County�s built environment reflects the national preservation movement
- To appreciate the rationale behind historic preservation theory and philosophy
- To communicate to the general public and governmental agencies the need for historic preservation at the local level
