Leadership Skills for Todays Workplace

Learn leadership skills that will help bring out the best in you. Earn trust and respect from your followers, foster collaborative work groups, and attain more consistent performance by understanding what traits to develop and what actions to take. Through project simulations, case studies, and interactive discussion groups, participants will learn up-to-date approaches to leadership for today’s workforce. 

Vital Listening & Communication Skills

Improve your ability to listen and communicate with others. Productivity depends upon it and good working relationships thrive upon it! Learn the differences between personal styles and understand the communication elements necessary to manage in order to be the best listener and communicator. Participants will also learn how to give and receive feedback, the importance of non-verbal cues, how to get your point across, and how to break through barriers to listening.  

MS Outlook 2007, Intermediate

If you are an accomplished basic user of Outlook, challenge yourself with this intermediate course.  This 8 hour course, delivered in two 4-hour sessions, teaches intermediate level functions and features of Outlook 2007. Participants will learn how to customize Outlook and work with address books, customize messages and signatures, organize items such as search and filter mail folders, apply and customize categories, organize mailboxes, archive mail, work with personal, public, and offline folders, organize folders and set rules. 

Leadership Series

This 12-hour program covers the key characteristics and skills necessary to lead themselves, a project, or others.  This course is fast paced, and deals with real time issues.  Most importantly, the underlying theme of the entire course is TRUST, because great leaders know that high trust cultures are long standing and far more productive than low trust cultures.  The course is based on several resources (The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, The Speed of Trust, The Carrot Principle, How Full is Your Bucket, Transitions, Emotional Intelligence and many more), as well as the experiences of many peak performing organizations in a variety of industries.  

MS Office 2010, New Features

This 8 hour course, delivered in two 4-hour sessions, covers those features of Microsoft Office 2010 that are new to the Office system. 

Participants will learn…

  • In Word how to use the Navigation pane and apply new text effects.
  • In Excel to use spark lines, filter data with slicers, and create a PivotChart.
  • In PowerPoint to organize slides into sections, edit movie clips, apply animation effects, and learn how to broadcast slide shows.
  • In Outlook to manage e-mail conversations, create Quick Steps, and use the People Pane.
  • In Access, how to use the tabbed document window, create Lookup list fields, and use the data type gallery.
  • In addition, students will learn about ribbon customization and Backstage view, and save a file as a PDF

MS Excel 2007, Intermediate

If you are familiar and comfortable with the basics of Excel, then you are ready to learn the intermediate level features and functions of Excel 2007. Participants will learn how to use multiple worksheets and workbooks, advanced formatting options, create outlines, work with lists and tables.  Studentswill save workbooks as Web pages, inserting  and editing hyperlinks. MS Excel 2007, Advanced

This 8 hour course delivered in two 4-hour sessions builds on the skills and concepts learned in Excel 2007, Intermediate. Participants will work with advanced formulas as well as lookup functions such as VLOOKUP, MATCH and INDEX. In addition, participants will learn about data validation and database functions such as DSUM. They will learn how to work with PivotTables and PivotCharts, how to import and export data and how to query external databases. Customer Service Excellence

This 6 hour course begins by focusing attention on internal relationships and their correlation to satisfied customers and positive bottom-line results. Communicating professionally, listening, being helpful, and giving extra effort even when there is no immediate profit in it are all important components of service excellence. Within the framework of Four Precepts, Guard Your Attitude, Choose Your Words Carefully, Mind Your Actions, and Maintain a Service Excellence Culture; participants learn principles to follow and actions to take to deliver excellent service for your organization. Along with providing great service to your external customers, your staff must also be serving their internal customers well.
