Kids on Campus 2014: Important Information Newtown Campus
A Medical/Emergency Information Form is enclosed with a self-addressed stamped return envelope. For your child’s safety and protection, this form must be returned prior to the start date of your child’s camp. We will need this information to contact you in case your child experiences an accident or illness.
If an emergency occurs, and you need to notify your child, please call the Office of Continuing Education at 215-968-8409 or 215-968-8016. We will contact your child. We discourage the use of cell phones during our camp day as it is disruptive to the camp program.
If your child arrives after the camp start time, please bring him/her to the Office of Continuing Education, Cottage #3, and SIGN IN. A staff member will bring your child to the specific camp.
If you need to pick-up your child early from camp, please use the enclosed form to notify the Camp instructor about specific time of pick-up. Your child will be brought to Cottage #3 where you can meet him/her, and SIGN OUT with identification. (This form may be duplicated as needed.)
A lunch program is available to campers through Culinart, the college food service provider. Lunch bracelets will be sold on Monday morning of each week at the drop off tent. This is a new procedure as there will be no advanced lunch tickets sold this year. Campers also have the option of bringing lunch. Cold beverages are also available for purchase.
Students registered for sports camps should bring a bathing suit and towel for pool activity. A lock for a locker is suggested, but not mandatory.
Outdoor activities will be held indoors during inclement weather.
In order to provide for your child’s safety, the College does not permit any child on campus without proper supervision. If you find it necessary to drop off your child early, or pick up your child after camp hours, you must register him/her in the BUCKS Extended Hours Program. Supervised activities will be provided and arrangements to register may be made on a weekly basis throughout the summer. Call the Tri-Hampton YMCA at 215-579-6200 for details.
