Honors@Bucks One-Year Scholarships
Bucks will award one-academic-year scholarships (32 credits, 16 per semester) to 13 incoming Honors@Bucks students for 2024-25.
To be considered, you must:
- Graduate from a state-accredited high school this spring;
- Be eligible for in-county tuition rates;
- Meet Honors@Bucks admission requirements;
- Attend Bucks full-time (12 or more credits per semester) in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, taking at least two honors courses each semester; and
- Submit (1) a Bucks general application, (2) an Honors@Bucks application (see below), and (3) a 2024-generated high-school transcript (should be sent by guidance counselor to Bucks' Office of Admissions) by Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
Honors@Bucks scholarships are awarded on the basis of high-school GPA.
Qualified applicants who do not receive one of our 13 scholarships will still be welcome in the Honors@Bucks program.

Program Mission
Bucks County Community College's Honors@Bucks Program challenges high-ability, intellectually curious students through honors coursework emphasizing scholarly research, high-order critical thinking, and experiential learning.
Honors@Bucks is open to students in all associate-degree programs who demonstrate academic preparedness.
Note that while they share students, Honors@Bucks is separate from both Phi Theta Kappa (the national honor society of two-year colleges) and NSLS (the National Society of Leadership and Success).

- A combination of dedicated-honors sections and "honors by contract" work in regular academic sections
- Scholarship opportunities for incoming Honors@Bucks students

- Honors designation for honors courses on transcript
- Same tuition/fees as "regular" Bucks coursework
- Honors-to-honors transfer agreements with Rider University, Delaware Valley University, Cedar Crest College, and Gwynedd Mercy University

The Honors@Bucks program is open to students in all associate-degree programs who meet the admission requirements
- Complete the College's online Application for Admission (if you haven't already); and
- Fill out and submit an Honors@Bucks Application (it will be received and processed by Dr. Stephen doCarmo, program coordinator).
Honors@Bucks applications should be received at least a week prior to the start of the semester in which the student will begin honors coursework.
