Bucks is committed to helping our students and community cultivate their entrepreneurial spirit and build businesses that have an impact on our local economy.
Calling all entrepreneurs! Our 11-week Workforce Development training program provides you with the skills, knowledge, and mentorship to start or grow your business!
Topics covered include:
Work one-on-one with a business coach to help guide and meet your specific goals. You will develop a business plan pitch deck as part of the class! The culminating project will be a pitch event, run in conjunction with StartUp Bucks. StartUp Bucks is nonprofit organization created by and for entrepreneurs to support new and existing startups to drive economic and cultural growth in and beyond Bucks County. You will receive feedback and suggestions from a panel of successful entrepreneurs and industry experts.
Class format: Online instruction is live with professor, cohort-based, via an online learning platform.
When: Cohort begins September 14
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30 p.m.
Pitch event will be held December 7
Cost: Training is free for Bucks County, PA residents that meet the eligibility requirements. Candidates must have a high school diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) certification and will be interviewed to determine program suitability.
Total hours of instruction: 55 hours
Credential: Non-credit certificate
