Teens on Campus Program Information

  • Teen Experience Programs for ages 15-17 may have different drop-off and pick-up times and locations than Kids on Campus and Teens on Campus (Ages 13-15) Camps.
  • Teens on Campus drop-off and pick-up will be in the same location as the Kids on Campus camps, unless the program is located at a different Bucks County Community College Campus.

Newtown Campus Face-to-Face Program June 19-23, 2023

Camp Freedom Write for Ages 13-15 RCHYC 6193 C01

Tuition: $324.00
Instructor: John Reshetar
Where & When: Newtown June 19-23, 2023 9:00 am-3:30 pm

This is an introduction to playwriting for the theatrical stage.  Campers will learn how to write their own 10-minute play, play improv games, engage in writing exercises, and learn about the world of staged plays in theatre.

Besides learning the value of teamwork and sportsmanship, campers will get to participate in the following: Tennis Baseball, Dodgeball, Kickball, Wiffleball, Hockey, Ultimate Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Volleyball, Football, and Soccer.

Dungeons and Dragons Adventures! for Ages 13-15 RCHYC 6235 C01

Welcome to Dungeons and Dragons Adventures! For those who love fantasy, games, theatre, or anything in between, this camp is for you. Build amazing characters, go on incredible adventures, fight daring enemies, and live in the magic of this one-of-a kind camp.

Mock Trial 1 for Ages 13-15 RCHYC 5724 C01

Tuition: $319.00

Where & When: Newtown June 19-23, 2023 9:00 am-3:30 pm

* This camp is structured like a class at school. Recommended for participants who are seriously interested in law.

Campers learn about the court system. They are taught trail skills such as opening statements, closing argument, direct and cross examination of witnesses, and how to get things into evidence. During the week, they role play as attorneys and as witnesses and the week culminates in a Mock Trial for a Jury of their families.

Mock Trial 2 for Ages 13-15 RCHYC 5725 C01

Tuition: $319.00
Instructor: Diane Rice
Where & When: Newtown June 26-30, 2023 9:00 am-3:30 pm

*Prerequisite: Students need to have taken Mock Trial 1 before taking Mock Trial 2*

** This camp is structured like a class at school. Recommended for participants who are seriously interested in law.

Campers will use the basic trial skills that they learned in Mock Trial I and add to them, by learning how to qualify an expert and how to introduce archival documents into evidence. They will research the historical topic selected for the trial and will write witness statements for each witness as well as for an "expert" historian.  On the last day of camp, they will present the trial to a jury.

Summer Dance Intensive at Bucks (2 Week Camp 7/10-21/2023) for Ages 13-15 RCHYC 6214 C01

*This will be a 2 weeklong camp that starts on 7/10 and will end on 7/21.

**We will have a performance at the end of the two weeks consisting of student choreographic work and faculty work.

This camp is a summer dance intensive that will give campers an introduction to what studying dance in college is all about! Bucks County Community College has a dance program that is open and welcoming to all dancers! This camp will open doors to studying dance in college and what elements students can explore with the art of dance!
