Event Information
Ceramic artist Jim Jansma will visit Bucks County Community College and present an image-based lecture about his artwork, followed by a demonstration of his clay work in the ceramics studio. Please come see Jim's unique processes and learn about his extraordinary career in ceramics.
Jim Studied ceramics at Kansas City Art Institute and Alfred University. He was Artist-in-Residence in Ceramics at Peters Valley Craft Center, and taught ceramics at Princeton University. He has exhibited work as a Visiting Artist in South Korea and Japan, and received a 2018 Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Jim is currently represented by Morpeth Gallery in Hopewell, NJ.
The lecture will begin at 2pm in MM12, followed by the clay demo in the ceramics studio in Hicks basement at about 3pm.
Open to the public, free!
Light refreshments will be provided.
