Bucks County Community College, which has been helping students achieve their academic goals for more than 55 years, is offering free classes to help adults prepare to take the high school equivalency, or HSE, exam.
Registration, orientation and assessment take place at 9:30 a.m. or 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 29 and Thursday, October 1, at the Upper Bucks Campus, located at One Hillendale Road, Perkasie. Students are required to attend both dates to complete the registration process. Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to noon or 6 to 8:30 p.m., beginning Tuesday, October 6.
Registration is limited due to CDC social-distancing requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Students should be prepared for in-person and remote instruction as conditions warrant.
Interested students should email G.Jay.Francis@Bucks.edu with one of the registration times – 9:30 a.m. or 6 p.m. September 29 and October 1 – to reserve their seat. An appointment must be confirmed by email.
Students will not be permitted on campus without a confirmed appointment and mandatory COVID-19 health check, to be completed at bucks.edu/healthcheck prior to arrival. Face masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn at all times on campus. More information on campus health and safety guidelines is at bucks.edu/coronavirus/campus.
Free HSE preparation classes are open to Pennsylvania residents age 18 and older. Funding is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Education and VITA Education Services. To learn more, visit bucks.edu/hse or email G.Jay.Francis@bucks.edu.
