‘Show Some HeART 125’ Returns to the Gallery at Lower Bucks Campus
10th annual show features more than 120 works of art by more than five dozen local artists through March 19 at the Epstein Campus in Bristol
The Gallery at Lower Bucks Campus invites the public to the 10th annual “Show Some HeART 125” art show and sale February 3 – March 19 at Bucks County Community College’s Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol.
The exhibition features more than 120 works of art by more than five dozen artists, each priced at $125, with $25 from each sale going to the Bucks County Community College Foundation’s student scholarship fund. Over the years, proceeds from “Show Some HeART” have raised more than $18,000 in scholarships.
Participating groups include Artists of Bristol on the Delaware, Artists of Yardley, ARTSBRIDGE, and the New Hope Art League, as well as individual artists. The gallery’s signature event is generously sponsored by Penn Community Bank.
Gwen Shrift, a former arts columnist with the Bucks County Courier Times and Intelligencer, has judged the “best of” in five categories, with the winning artists each receiving a $50 prize. The winners are:
- Best of Painting - " Sunset Bay" watercolor by Larry Mello
- Best of Sculpture - "Brooklyn Bridge," vase by Fran Leyenberger
- Best of Mixed Media - "Pieces of a Dream" by Rodney Miller
- Best of Drawing - "Road Runner" by Don Kessler
- Best of Photography - "Core Creek Park 2" by Ernest T. Koch
The Gallery at Lower Bucks Campus is open Monday through Saturday during regular campus operating hours. Admission is free.
