Concert also features Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley in a night of original and classic Americana music on Fri. Nov. 15 in the Zlock Performing Arts Center
Bucks County Community College, which has been bringing renowned musical performers to the region for more than 50 years, proudly presents a night of Americana, bluegrass and country music with The Gibson Brothers at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 15.
Also taking the stage at the Zlock Performing Arts Center will be Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, making for an all-star evening featuring Nashville’s rising stars.
Leigh and Eric Gibson are two-time winners of the International Bluegrass Association’s biggest honor, Entertainer of the Year. Rolling Stone says “the Gibson Brothers expand far beyond their genre’s twang-and-tradition cornerstones to build something new.” Their latest album, Mockingbird, is a mix of country, soul, and 70s rock, further cementing the sibling duo as musical trailblazers.
Joining the Gibson Brothers are Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley. Ickes, a 15-time IBMA Dobro Player of The Year winner, is a longtime, well-established instrumental giant. Hensley, named “Nashville’s hottest young player” by Acoustic Guitar Magazine, is newly arrived in Music City and bursting with talent both as a vocalist and guitarist. Their latest album is World Full of Blues, featuring collaborations with Vince Gill and Taj Mahal.
The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 15, in the newly renovated Kevin and Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center, located inside the Gateway Center building on campus at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown. Parking is free. The theater is equipped with audio-loop technology for the hearing impaired.
