Bucks Offers Free Healthcare Training to Unemployed Residents
Information sessions about the healthcare certificate programs, offered in partnership with PA CareerLink, take place July 17, 18, and 25
Bucks County Community College, in partnership with PA CareerLink, is seeking unemployed or underemployed Bucks County residents to apply for a healthcare certificate program. Training is free for those who meet eligibility requirements.
PA CareerLink will determine if applicants qualify for free tuition. Programs offered include Dental Assisting, EKG Technician Hybrid, Nurse Aide Certification, and Pharmacy Technician. In most cases, certificate programs can be completed in less than six months.
Free information sessions about these opportunities will be held at 1 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
- Wednesday, July 17 – Founders Hall room 009, Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa.
- Thursday, July 18 – PA CareerLink, 1260 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa.
- Thursday, July 25 – South Building Room 257, Upper Bucks Campus, One Hillendale Rd., Perkasie, Pa.
Students and must be at least 18 years old; have either a high school diploma or GED (with exception for Nurse Aide); and must be a U.S. Citizen or possess a Green Card.
