Artist Talk and Book Signing with Bucks County illustrator and artist Deb Hoeffner
Celebrated animal artist Deb Hoeffner will discuss her process and sign her latest book, Trucker: The True Story of a Hero Colt. This event is free and open to the public and will be hosted at the Hicks Art Center Gallery. Refreshments will be served.
Need a hero? This book tells the inspiring true story of how one scrawny little colt saved an entire herd of 33 starving horses. Written by Cristina Scalise, a volunteer at the Equine Rescue League where the rescue occurred, and illustrated by Deb Hoeffner, whose sensitive drawings and paintings have illustrated many books, Trucker's tale will touch the heart of all who read it. During her presentation she will tell the story behind the story and share the process of bringing this little hero and his family of Morgan horses to life on the page.
