- Students study how archaeologists work in the Delaware Valley region. Special emphasis is placed on actual excavations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Course Learning Goals
- To introduce the student to the discipline of archeology with emphasis on prehistoric and historic periods.
- To make students aware of the vast literature which is available on archeology sites.
- To provide an overview for various archeology topics, such as, the American Revolution, cemeteries, Jamestown, Franklin Court, and prehistoric sites.
- To enable students to understand how artifacts of ceramic, glass, and lithic materials can assist archeologists.
