Campus Event Story

Cover an event on campus and write a spot news story about it. Include at least five full quotes. Be sure to get the full name of everyone you quote. If you quote a student, also get their age, hometown and major. If you quote a professor or official at the college, include their full title. This assignment should be a minimum of three typewritten pages, double-spaced.

You will need to find an angle for your lead. In other words, you have to pick out the most important and interesting thing that happened at the event and make that your lead. Most importantly, your lead should TELL the reader something about the event. I don't want to see leads like, "A meeting was held yesterday at Bucks County Community College." That tells the reader nothing.
