You're on the night shift again at the Freeport Gazette. Here is some information on a fire. Write a story in 30 minutes.

You get this information from Captain Bill Jackson of the Freeport Fire Department:

The fire broke out at about 9:45 p.m. in a wooden, two-story tenement house in a poor section of the city. There are four separate apartments in the building. All the residents managed to escape, and no one was injured. Firefighters doused the blaze within 30 minutes. But the fire gutted the building, causing an estimated $200,000 in damage, and all 18 occupants were left homeless. Some stayed with relatives; others were helped by the Red Cross.

You also get this information from Lt. Mike O'Malley of the Freeport Police Department. He says several people were seen running from the building after the fire began, and police are looking for them. O'Malley says, "I think this may be a case of arson." He won't say any more, citing the ongoing investigation..

You call Fire Captain Bill Jackson back. He says he can't be sure the fire was arson until he does more investigating. But he adds, "It wouldn't surprise me if that's how this fire began. We've seen several arson fires recently in this area."
