Police catch a single suspect from the string of massage parlor robberies around midnight of May 5th.

Police were on the 1400 block of Lincoln Blvd responding to other massage parlor robbery when they received a call for a second robbery in the area at the 2400 block of Lincoln Blvd. When police officers got to the scene they saw two suspects jumping over a fence at 11th St. and Ocean Park Blvd. Police quickly responded by setting up a perimeter and called in a K-9 unit. The K-9 united aided in locating one suspect, Mathew Moulton 21, of Reseda. Moulton was booked for armed robbery and a judge set bail at $50,000. His companion is described as a white male 19-21 years of age, 5’6, 140 pounds, and brown hair. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a hood.

This comes as a break to police who have been hunting down the suspects, said to have been involved in a string of five other massage parlor burglaries over the past several months. In these robberies the suspects were described as male, Hispanics, 5’3 – 6’1, 130 – 170 pounds, with short hair, fair to medium skin, and usually wore dark clothing during the robberies. During two of the robberies a knife was used to threaten people and in one a weapon was simulated. Even with these threats no injuries have been reported from these crimes.
