Recycle

This shop is for everyone’s use, you mom isn’t taking this class, therefore you are required to keep the shop clean for yourself and your fellow students. 

It came to my attention last term that we wasted a lot of glass through sloppy handling.  We use a recycling system; All clear, clean glass can be reused.  Therefore if it is clean and color free place it in the recycle container, which means at the end of each lab you must pick through the glass you used, throwing out the bad glass and returning the good.  Do not expect you lab partners to do it for you, do it yourself.  If we work together on this we will all have more glass to work with, and save money too!

While waiting for the glass to crack off the blowpipe store the blowpipes in the rack, not outside leaning on the rack.  If the pipes falls, they bend.  So if you want to quench the blow pipe in water, do not leave it there, put it in the rack.  Do not put pipes in the recycle can, nor on the floor, or any other creative area you think of putting the pipe.
