Mandatory Notebook  

The student notebook will provide me with a personal account of your experience with glass and will provide you with a place to store information that I provide through the semester.  

Your notebook should contain:  

1.         Class format and syllabus.  

2.         All Handouts that are provided through the semester.  

3.         Notes and drawings made during class discussions and demonstrations.  

4.         A record of each lab session:

            a.            What are you working on in this lab session?

            b.            Did you succeed or fail? Why?

            c.      Note any problems or difficulties that you encounter with the glass or equipment, so that you can bring these matters to my attention during the next class meeting.  

5.         Any statements or thoughts pertaining to your experience with glass - your interpretations and perceptions of glass as a medium for art, are valuable to me and are extremely encouraged. These can be short statements, short stories, or poetry.  Do research on the WEB, print stuff out and put it in your book.  

6.                  Your notebook will be 10 percent of your grade.
