Guarantee of Admission
Jefferson College of Health Professions will guarantee admission to students who desire to transfer from Bucks County Community College into the following programs:
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Laboratory Sciences
- Nursing
- Occupational Therapy
Terms of Guarantee*
- The student must complete all prerequisite credit requirements prior to enrollment at Thomas Jefferson University
- The student must submit a Letter of Intent to Bucks County Community College by the dates specified on the form to secure a position in the class. Otherwise the guarantee is extended as long as there are spaces in the entering class. Students should return the completed form to Barbara Ford, Director of Transfer, in Transfer Services in the Rollins Center.
- A designated Bucks County Community College representative must recommend the student for admission.
- The student must have a cumulative grade point average of a least a 2.7
- The student must have earned at least a grade of "C" in all courses in order for them to transfer to TJU.
*Students with disciplinary or criminal records are excluded from this guarantee
What this means
Admission Guarantee
Students who meet the Terms of Guarantee" will be guaranteed admission to the program desired. Students should sign and return the Letter of Intent Form as it is a critical component in regard to being guaranteed a"slot" in the desired program.
Students who do not submit a Letter of Intent form, do not meet gpa requirements, or who do not select appropriate coursework at Bucks cannot be guaranteed admission.
Appropriate Course Selection
Students should consult with an advisor in the Department of Science and Technology and Barbara Ford, Director of Transfer Services, for appropriate course selection for these programs.
