If you are concerned about the cost of your education at a particular college, you may be interested in various merit scholarships that are reserved specifically for transfer students.

If the school in which you are interested is not on this list, it does not mean that it doesn't offer transfer students scholarships. It just means that it has not communicated this information to us.

Albright College, Reading, PA

Merit Scholarships for Dual Admissions: Full-time, day students with a final BCCC 3.0 GPA may receive $5,000 - $20,000. Part-time, day students taking 2 Albright College classes per semester may receive $200.00 each semester.

BCCC Graduates entering the Evening Accelerated Degree Completion Program may receive a $2,500 Partnership Scholarship or $3,200 for a 3.7 GPA or higher.

Phi Theta Kappa: 3.2 GPA or higher. $10,00 - $20,000 (for members of PTK at their Community College

 

Alvernia University, Reading, PA

ACT (Alvernia Connects with Transfers) Scholarship: $4,000 with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Phi Theta Kappa: members are eligible for $1,000.

 

Alfred University, Alfred, NY

Presidential Scholarship: $13,000 (Arts and Sciences/ Business Programs), $8,500 (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Undecided Engineering majors), $8,500 (State supported programs), need to complete an associate degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.3. Indicate on admission application interest in scholarship program.

Dean's Scholarship: $10,000 (Arts and Sciences/ Business Programs), $7,000 (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Undecided Engineering majors), $7,000 (State supported programs), need to complete an associate degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewal contingent on a 2.75GPA and full-time enrollment.

Art Portfolio Review Scholarship: $8,500, entering full-time transfer students in the School of Art and Design. Renewal contingent on a 2.75 GPA after the Freshman year and 3.0 GPA after that. Deadline is February 1 (must include admission application and portfolio).

Jonathan Allen Award for Leadership: $8,000 (Arts and Sciences/ Business Programs), $5,500 (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Undecided Engineering majors), $5,000 (State supported programs), need to complete an associate degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.7. For students who have demonstrated leadership and made significant contributions through volunteer work in school, community, church or public service activities.

Phi Theta Kappa: $13,000 (Arts and Sciences/ Business Programs), $8,500 (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Undecided Engineering majors), $8,500 (State supported programs), full-time student with an associate degree who is a current member. Renewable for a maximum of four semesters as long as full-time enrollment is maintained.

 

American University, Washington, DC

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships: 3.5 - 4.0 GPA, for members only. Please identify membership on application and provide a recommendation from the PTK Advisor.

Deans and Presidential Scholarships are also available.

 

Arcadia University, Glenside, PA

Competitive financial aid policy is augmented by scholarships based on academic merit and/or achievement and leadership outside of the classroom.

Distinguished Scholarships under BCCC Agreement: Full-time students with 3.0 - 3.19 cum GPA (minimum of $4,500), 3.2 - 3.49 cum GPA (minimum of $6,000) and 3.5 - 4.0 cum GPA (Minimum of $8,000). Part-time students with over a 3.0 GPA will receive a $400.00 award.

Phi Theta Kappa: guaranteed $15,000 for Fall 2008/ Spring 2009 provided that their cumulative transfer GPA is 3.5 or better (cumulative GPA from all institutions combined) and they have earned a minimum of 30 credits, completed course must be in two general academic disciplines and carried a full-time course load while enrolled at their previous institution(s).

Alpha Beta Gamma: guaranteed minimum of $8,500 per year for full-time undergraduate study provided that their cumulative GPA is a 3.0 from all institutions attended and have earned a minimum of 30 credits.

Students that are members of both PTK and ABG will receive one Distinguished Scholarship, which will be the higher of the PTK or ABG amounts for which they qualify.

Arcadia University Achievement Awards: $1000 to $6000 per year. These awards honor exceptional participation in school activities, community service, volunteer work, work experience or special talents. Be encouraged to send a list of such accomplishments with the application. Students are automatically considered when applying to the University.

All Arcadia University merit awards are renewable annually for full-time students in good academic standing.

 

Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA

Jack L. Mertz Accounting Scholarship: $1,250 per year ($625 for Fall and $625 for Spring), 2 candidates are chosen based on SAT scores, Class Rank, and Cumulative GPA. Renewal is not guaranteed each year.

Karleen M. Haffman Memorial Scholarship: $20,000 available (amount given to each student is dependent on number of recipients selected), demonstrate need as designated by Financial Aid, need a 3.0 GPA or higher, and should show leadership qualities.

 

Cabrini College, Radnor, PA

Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA

Four scholarship programs award on the basis of outstanding academic and/or artistic merit; amounts will vary. Various target groups for each, and renewable for four years.

 

Cedar Crest College, Allentown PA

Transfer Scholarship: $5,000 awarded. Need to be top 20% of high school class and scored 1150 or higher on SAT (critical reading and math) if transferring after completion of one semester from a college, or need to have attained a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA after completing at least 24 credits at another institution before enrolling at Cedar Crest College. The amount is renewable each year provided that a 3.0 GPA is maintained.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships of $4000 per year are reserved for members who have GPA of 3.5, 24 transferable credits and plan to be a full-time student immediately following the community college. The scholarship is renewable for two years provided a 3.0 GPA is maintained, the member completes 24 credits a year and remains a full-time student

FOR LIFE LONG STUDENTS: (those student who have been out of high school for more than 4 years) Transfer Scholarships: need a 3.0 final GPA from the most recent college attended, enroll as a degree-seeking matriculated student, enroll within one year following attendance, and have completed a minimum of 24 credits at the most recent institution. Full-time: 25% of tuition not to exceed $2,000 per semester and renewable if enrolled in 12 credits per semester, and have completed a minimum of 24 credits per academic year and maintains an overall GPA of 3.0. Part-time: 10% of tuition and enroll for 6-11 credits per semester, and complete a minimum of 12 credits per academic year and maintains an overall GPA of 3.0

 

Chatham College, Pittsburgh, PA

Merit Scholarship: $3,000 - $12,000, 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA with a minimum of 15 credits from the transfer institution. Annually renewed if 2.8 GPA or higher and full-time enrollment is maintained.

World Ready Women's Scholarship: up to $5,000 for those students that display outstanding leadership qualities. Should attend Chatham's University's World Ready Women Scholarship Day to qualify.

Visual Art Scholarship: $2,000 for students who major in fine arts. Based on completed visual arts scholarship application and must submit portfolios or work on CD (JPEG format), DVD, mini DV, via URL as a printed image.

Interior Architecture Scholarship: $2,000 for students who major in interior architecture. Based on completed interior architecture scholarship application and must submit portfolio (art or interior work) or essay on why you want to study interior architecture.

Legacy Award: $2,000 for daughters and sisters of alumni.

Alpha Beta Gamma Scholarship: $5,000, 2.8 cumulative GPA or higher and membership in ABG International Business Honor Society. Annually renewed if 2.8 GPA or higher and full-time enrollment is maintained.

AFS/YFU/Rotary International Scholarship: $2,500 for students who have participated in American Field Service (AFS), Youth for Understanding (YFU), or Rotary abroad programs. To apply please fill out application form, a letter of interest and an essay describing your intercultural experience.

Minna Kaufmann Ruud Music Scholarship: $3,500 plus weekly voice lesson with accompaniment for qualified vocalists that plan to major in music or incorporate music into an interdepartmental major. Participation in the Chatham Choir is required. To apply fill out application form and once it is received, contact will be made for an audition.

Girl Scout Scholarship: $2,000 (Girl Scout Leadership), $6,000 (Gold Award Recipients), offered to members who have been in Girl Scouts for a minimum of two years. Applicants must show proof of membership and fill out the application.

Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women Scholarship: $2,500 for PA residents that display strong academic performance, focused career goals, and dedication to community service and volunteerism. Demonstration of academic need is also needed. Submit a letter of interest and a resume outlining community service and an interview is also recommended.

Phi Theta Kappa: $2,000, 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher and membership in PTK. Annually renewed if GPA of 3.0 and full-time enrollment is maintained.

 

Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA
Full-time Commuter Student Scholarship (Fall 2008): $10,000.

Merit Scholarships: $4,000 - $15,000 dependent on GPA and residence status.

 

Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, Cheyney, PA

W.W. Smith Charitable Trust Scholarship: grants of up to $2,500 to needy undergraduate students of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.  Must maintain and have a 2.4 GPA.  There is a deadline for application.

Michelle and Geri Vital Scholarship Fund: two $1,00 awards are given while President M. Howard-Vital is president of Cheyney University. The scholarship is for students who leadership potential, have insufficient funds for tuition, and enrolled as a full-time in a four year undergraduate degree. Students need a 3.0 GPA and 900 SAT score to eligible.

 

Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY

Holcroft Alumni Recognition Award: $500 per year, based on strong potential for success, financial need and recommendation from a Clarkson alumnus/ alumna

Clarkson Transfer Leadership Award: $15,000 per year; for students who demonstrate leadership and outstanding academic achievement.  Students are nominated by a participating two-year school.

Clarkson Transfer Achievement Award: $12,000 per year, for students who demonstrate leadership and outstanding academic achievement.  Students are nominated by a participating two-year school.

 

Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, OH

To qualify for various scholarships, students must be transferring from an accredited college, and completed the application process.  Scholarship awards are based on strength of portfolio and academic achievement.  Recommendations and personal statements are considered.

 

De Sales University, Center Valley, PA

Tuition Opportunity Program (TOP): grant that equals the amount of the community college the student attended. To receive the grant, the student must have completed an Associate Degree at an articulated community college and be entering DeSales as a full-time traditional junior.

Transfer Scholarship Program (TSP): $3,500 - $6,000, cumulative GPA of 3.0 upon transfer, have at least 8 courses that transfer, maintain a3.0 GPA at DeSales and enter DaSales as a full time, traditional student. Apply by October 1 for spring entrance or May 1 for Fall entrance.

Students qualifying for TSP and TOP will receive the higher of the two awards. ACESS and non-traditional nursing students are not eligible for TOP and TSP.

 

Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA

Agreement Scholarship: $5,500 - $9,000 (amount is dependent on final BCCC GPA and whether the student is living off campus, need to have a 2.5 or higher GPA and maintain 12 credits or more. Renewable automatically as long as full-time status and minimum GPA is maintained.

DelVal Alumni Junior Scholarship: must be current or transfer student entering junior year the fall following the selection. 3.0 GPA or higher, full-time status and Alumni relationship preferred. Click the college name above and scroll down to the scholarship to access the application. The deadline is May 1, 2008.

DelVal has various other scholarships that transfer students might be eligible for dependent on field of study and class standing (sophomore, junior, etc.).

 

DeVry University, Fort Washington, PA

Community College Scholarship: $1,500 per semester (6 semester max to value $6,000). Must have earned an Associate Degree from a regionally accredited or public or junior college with a final cumulative GPA of 3.3. Apply one year before entering DeVry.

Cisco Networking Academy Scholarship: $1,200 per semester (6 semester max to value $7,200). Students need to have successfully completed IT Essentials I or CCNA Semester I prior to entering Devry. Students must be accepted in the following majors: Biomedical Engineering Technology (Biomedical Technology in NY), Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems, Electronics Engineering Technology, Game and Simulation Programming, Network and Communication Management, or Technical Management. Apply one year before entering Devry.

 

Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA

Transfer Scholarships: valued at up to $15,000 (renewable) are offered to students with a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA from the previous institution and are enrolled as full-time undergraduate in a day program. Nursing ACE, RN-BSN Degree Completion Program, and Radiologic Technology applicants are not eligible for Drexel Scholarships due to the unique format of the program curricula.

Alumni-Trustee Endorsement Grant: Children of Alumni/ae Grant, and Family Grant are available to transfer students.

 

Eastern University, St. Davids, PA

Academic Scholarship: $3,000 - 9,000, based on application and academic credentials.

 

East Stroudsburg University, (PA)

Transfer Student Scholarship: minimum of $500, for students who graduate with an associate degree from a Pennsylvania state community college with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Other scholarships might be available once enrolled and/or completion of a certain amount of credits.

 

Edinboro University

Emmanuel College, Boston, MA (women)

Presidential Scholarship: eligible students will have a 3.7 GPA or above, complete application that is postmarked April 1 (fall) or November 1 (spring), and demonstrate a 3.7 GPA from high school and SAT of 1350 (verbal and math or ACT of 32 or higher.   Renewable if a 3.5 or higher GPA is maintained.

Dean's Scholarship: $15,000, eligible students will have a 3.3 GPA or above, complete application that is postmarked April 1 (fall) or November 1 (spring), and demonstrate a 3.7 GPA from high school and SAT of 1250 (verbal and math or ACT of 30 or higher.   Renewable if a 3.3 or higher GPA is maintained.

Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur Scholarship: $2,500 to a student recommended by a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, complete application that is postmarked April 1, 2008 (fall) or November 1 (spring).  To request a recommendation form contact Emmanuel College's Office of Admission.

Academic Achievement Scholarship: $7,500 - 12,500, eligible students will have a 3.0 GPA or above, complete application that is postmarked April 1, 2008 (fall) or November 1 (spring), and demonstrate a 3.7 GPA from high school and SAT of 1100 (verbal and math or ACT of 23 or higher.   Renewable if a 3.0 or higher GPA is maintained.

Transfer Academic Recognition Awards: must have 25 transferable credits from most recent college or university

  • Up to $7,000 per year with GPA of 3.6

Gwynedd Mercy College, Gwynedd Valley, PA

Transfer Scholarship: $7,000 - 8,500, 3.0 or higher GPA being a full-time student, and completion of 30 credits. renewable for a max of three years as long as eligibility requirements are meet and GPA is at least a 3.0.

Transfer Grant: $5,000 per year, must have completed 24 credits and have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Phi Theta Kappa: $2,000 per year, must present valid documentation of PTK membership.

Sister Mary Gregory Scholarship: awarded to students 25 years of age or older and based on academic achievement. Transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Renewable annually as long as GPA is maintained, reapplication and continued eligibility. Financial need is considered but may not be a determining factor.

The Founders Grant: provides partial tuition assistance based on financial need for students over 25 years of age. Transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher. Renewable annually as long as GPA is maintained, reapplication and continued eligibility. Financial need is considered but may not be a determining factor.

 

Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY

Trustee Scholarship: up to $20,000 per year, selected by the Admissions Committee. Phi Theta Kappa Members are encouraged to apply. Scholarship application deadline is January 15 and an admission interview by February 1 (click the name of the college to access application)

Hersh Scholarship: full tuition and fees, awarded to one male and one female based on exceptionally strong academic record and substantial extracurricular involvement and community service.  Candidates are selected from the Trustee Scholarship winners who attend the recognition weekend.

Wood Scholarship: full tuition and fees, awarded to the mast academically outstanding student.  Candidates are selected from the Trustee Scholarship winners who attend the recognition weekend

 

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship: members need a 3.5 GPA or higher to qualify.  

 

Holy Family University, Philadelphia, PA

Transfer Articulation Scholarship: $3,000 - $5,000, minimum GPA of 2.8.  Scholarship is renewable if minimum GPA is maintained.

 

Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL

Transfer Scholarship: up to $12,000.

Phi Theta Kappa: $2,000 per year, must show proof of membership.

Immaculata College, Pa
A renewable scholarship for transfer students with a GPA of 4.0 to 3.0 ranging from $5000 to 2500. Renewable Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships, in addition to the Transfer Scholarship available.

Indiana University of PA, Indiana, PA

Merit and need based scholarships are available

 

Johnson and Wales University, Providence, RI

Scholarships offered to select majors valued between $2000 to $10,000. Must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 or 3.5. Renewable for up to four years. High achievers may be eligible for $10,000 to full tuition.


Keystone College, La Plume, PA

Transfer Scholarship: up to $5,500, full-time students with an associates degree or 60 credits or more earned with a GPA of 2.0.

Transfer Presidential Scholarship: up to $4,000, fill-time transfer students who have earned 60 or more credits or who have earned an associates degree with a 3.0 GPA.

Transfer Trustee Scholarship: up to $3,500, full-time student transfering with an associates degree with a 2.5 GPA.

Transfer Leadership Scholarship: up ton $3,000. students must have an associate degree with a 2.0 adn documented leadership role (recommendation from a club advisor).

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) : $500 per year, must be full-time student, graduated with an associate degree with a 3.5 and a documented membership to PTK.

 

Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA

LIM: The College for the Business of Fashion, New York, NY

Academic Achievement Scholarship: $1,000 - 3,000, need to transfer with at least 21 credits and a B average.

LIM DECA Scholarships: up to a quarter of tuition per year, need to be a member in DECA.

Transfer Grant: $1,500, need to have an associate degree and a 2.75.

 

Lafayette College, Easton, PA

Marquis Scholars Program: $16,000 per year or offers full grant to financial need.  Complete a strong selection of courses and have strongly supportive recommendations. No special application - simply complete the transfer application for any fall semester.

Trustee Scholar: $8,000 per year or offers full grant to need.

A 3.0 or higher is required to maintain funding.

LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA

Transfer Scholarship (Dual Admission/Core-to-Core Agreement): $5,000 to $10,000, 3.0 GPA or higher.

Founders Scholarship: Up to $8,000. Candidates are selected based on quality of course selection, GPA and extracurricular activities.

 

Lebanon Valley College, Annville, PA

Academic Recognition Scholarship: half tuition, Phi Theta Kappa members who complete a transfer program or completing the associate degree are eligible.  renewable for 5 semesters and must maintain full-time status an d a 3.0 GPA.

Presidential Scholarship: quarter to half tuition, must have completed 16 or more credits based on GPA, number of credits, strength of academic program and major field of study.

 

Lehigh University, Lehigh, PA
Paige L'Hommedieu Scholarship for students with financial need who transfer with an Associate of Arts degree.
Lock Haven University, Lock Haven, PA

Dean's Transfer Scholarships: $500 for students with a GPA of at least 3.0 and 30 or more transferable credits.

 

Loyola University, Chicago, IL

Academic Scholarship: $4,000 - 6,000, minimum of 30 transferable credits and renewable for up to three years if 12 credits or more and a 3.0 GPA is maintained.  students transferring mid-semester with less than 30 cr will need to show fall transcripts to be eligible.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: $3,000, proof of membership is required and full-time enrollment at Loyola must immediately follow the two-year college.  Must be admitted by November 1 (Spring) and July 1 (Fall).

Martin J. Svaglic Humanities Scholarship: two $2,500 per year, for students who are in Classic Studies, Communication, English, Fine Arts, History, Modern Language, Philosophy, Theology or Theater, and have a 3.0 GPA.

Theatre Scholarships: amounts will vary, for theater majors.

 

Lynchburg College, Virginia

Trustee Transfer Scholarship: $10,000, 3.5 GPA or greater on all coursework.

Dean's Transfer Scholarship: $7,500, 3.0 - 3.49 GPA on all coursework.

Alumni Transfer Award: $5,000, 2.5 - 2.99 GPA on all coursework.

Transfer Scholarship: $3,00 - 11,000, must have completed 15 college credits or more and have a 2.8 GPA or higher. Scholarship is renewable if a 3.0 GPA is maintained.

Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, VA

Baldwin Scholarships for international students range from $5000-$8000, based on TOEFL or SAT scores and academic achievement.

Messiah College, Grantham, PA

Provost Scholarship: $6,000 - 10,000, 3.2 GPA

Phi Theta Kappa (Provost Scholarship): $7,000, proof of membership and need a 3.5 GPA.

Scholarships are renewable if a minimum GPA of 3.2 is maintained.

 

Millersville University, Millersville, PA

Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ

Moore College of Art and Design, Philadelphia, PA

Transfer Scholarships: $6,000 - $8,500, renewable if a 2.5 - 3.0 GPA is maintained.

Business Scholars in The Arts Scholarship: $2,000 Merit scholarship available to women who study full-time - renewable each year. Students must be nominated by a their current art teacher or by Moore's Admission Committee. Selection is based on portfolio excellence, exceptional academic history and evidence of future potential for business leadership.

Board of Trustees Scholarship: up to $10,500, awarded to a limited amount of students who show exceptional artistic and academic ability.  Need to maintain a 3.0 and full-time status for renewal.

Deans Scholarship: up to $6,000, renewable if maintaining a 2.5 GPA and full-time status.

 

Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA

Various Merit Scholarships may be available depending on academic record.

 

New England College

Preferred Transfer Scholarship Program (Merit Scholarships):

  1. $8,000 - 10,000. Requires a minimum GPA of 2.0
  2. $10,000 - 12,500. Requires a minimum GPA of 2.5
  3. $12,500 - 14,000. Requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
  4. $15,000 - 16,000. Requires a minimum GPA of 3.5

 

New Mexico Tech, Socorro, NM
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: $6,000 per year, 3.5 minimum GPA and at least 45 transfer credit hours.  Must show proof of membership.

Transfer Excel Scholarship: $5,000 per year, minimum 3.5 GPA and 30 transfer credit hours.

Tech Transfer: $4,000 per year, 3.25 GPA and 30 transfer credit hours.

Regents Scholarship: $2,000 per year, 3.0 GPA and 30 transfer credit hours.

Scholarships deadlines are June 1 and need to complete the NMT Application for Undergraduate Admissions and Scholarships.


New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: five- Full tuition, 3.5 GPA or higher, Complete an associate degree and submission of a letter of recommendation from a Phi Theta Kappa Advisor; need to maintain a 3.0 GPA to renew scholarship.

Engineering Technology Scholarship: $7,260, for non New Jersey resident transfer students

 

New York Chiropractic College, Seneca Fall, NY

NYCC Merit Scholarships: $1,500 - 3,500, need a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

 

Northwood University, West Palm Beach, FL

Business Club Scholarship: $1,000 per year, must be a member of Delta Epsilon Chi, Phi beta Lambda, Business Professionals of America or Students in Free-Enterprise. Students need a 2.7 Cumulative GPA, need to be enrolled for two years and submit a letter of recommendation from the program advisor by May1.

Freedom Transfer Scholarship: $6,000 per year, available to students completing an Associate Degree with a 3.5 GPA and enrolling for two years.. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA to renew the scholarship.

Free-Enterprise Transfer Scholarship: $5,000 per year, need to have a 3.0 - 3.49 GPA and be enrolled for two years.  The Scholarship is renewable if a 2.7 GPA is maintained.

Phi Theta Kappa: $500 per year, must submit a letter of recommendation from the program advisor submitted May 1 and must be enrolled for two years.  The Scholarship is renewable if a 3.0 GPA is maintained.  May be combined with the above scholarships.

Peirce College, Philadelphia, PA

Articulation Scholarship: up to $1,500 (one time award split for three semesters), 2.0 GPA and must maintain a 3.0 GPA to receive the award.

Guaranteed Transfer Admission Scholarship: $1,500 - 3, 000 (full-time students) or $750 - 1,500 (part-time students) for a 3.0 minimum GPA.  The amount will depend on final BCCC GPA.

 

Penn State University- Abington, Abington, PA

Several Merit Scholarships are available to Bucks students with a high GPA, as recalculated by Penn State.   

Phi Theta Kappa scholarships may be available to members of Phi Theta Kappa.  Contact the Financial Aid Office (215-881-7348.)

Letter of Intent scholarship - Penn State Abington will award a one-time $1000 scholarship to Bucks students who sign a Letter of Intent, graduate from Bucks with a 3.3 GPA or better (as calculated by Penn State) and attend Penn State Abington full time.

 

Philadelphia University Philadelphia, PA

Transfer Agreement (Continuing and Professional Studies): 25% off per credit (3.5- 4.0 GPA) or 20% off per credit (3.0 - 3.49 GPA).

Merit Scholarship (Day Programs): $1,500 - 9,000, based on college level work. To see what you are eligible for contact the Philadelphia University Admissions Office.

 

Point Park College, Pittsburgh, PA
Presidential Scholarships: $15,000 per year. Student must have a 3.5 or higher GPA, been selected for the Academic Scholarships, and Community Service and Leadership Awards, and be accepted by February 1.

Academic Scholarships: $1000 - 5000 per year to students with a 3.0 GPA.

Community Service and Leadership Awards: $500 - 3000 per year to students based on a strong record of involvement or leadership in school or community service activities.

Pioneer Transfer Grant: $2,500, need 60 credits or more from any PA Community College.


Regis University, Denver, CO

Natural Science Scholarship: Full-tuition, must major in chemistry, biology or mathematics and take proficiency test usually in February.  Renewable if a 3.0 or higher GPA is maintained and the student remains in the three specified fields.

Community College Transfer Scholarships: students need to transfer in 60 hours at least 15 hours have to be from the community college. (www.transfertoregis.org)

Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ

Offers several scholarships to transfer students who are full-time students. Athletic scholarships also available.

Merit Scholarships: Open to Transfer Students

  1. $16,000 per year, requires a minimum GPA of 3.75.
  2. $14,000 per year, requires a minimum GPA of 3.5
  3. $12,000 per year, requires a minimum GPA of 3.25. 
  4. $10,000 per year, requires a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  5. $7,000 per year, requires a minimum GPA of 2.75.
  6. $5,000 per year, requires a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships: $1,500 in grants and scholarships to Phi Theta Kappa members, in addition to above amounts. Requires a minimum GPA of 2.5

Community College Scholarship: $1,000 in grants. Requires a minimum GPA of 2.5

 

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY

Trustee Scholarships: $6,000 - 7,500 (3.3 GPA) or $7,500 - 9,000 (3.6 GPA) per year, students must  be enrolled as a full-time student and have completed an associate degree.

Transfer Achievement Scholarships: $6,000 per year, need to have a 3.3 or higher GPA, and have completed 30 semester hours.  Students need to apply by April 1 (Fall/ Summer) October1 (Winter), or January 15 (Spring).

Phi Theta Kappa: $2,000 per year, need to show proof of membership and complete an associate degree.

 

Rosemont College, Rosemont, PA

Merit Scholarships: $2,000 - $7,500 awarded to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, have applied for fall semester and have filed the FAFSA.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: half-tuition to 2 students each fall and spring. Must have earned an Associate Degree.

Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA

Transfer Scholars: offered to limited number of students  who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and excelled in areas of design, and also whose portfolio, audition and writing must be judged as excellent.  Students need to have a 3.5 and minimum of 27 transfer credits.

 

St. Joseph's College of Maine (Online, Standish, ME)

Saint Joseph's University, Philadelphia PA

Transfer Achievement Scholarships can range from between $8,000-$13,000. The scholarships are contingent on your official credentials and admission to the University. Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ
All Transfer Students are automatically considered for Merit Scholarships by applying for admission. Awards range from $2000-$6000 per year. Students need to have a minimum GPA of 3.3 to be considered for any award.

Phi Theta Kappa members with 3.5 GPA or higher will automatically be offered an academic scholarship, renewable, and valued at $5000.
Strayer University

Students completing an associate degree at BCCC and enrolling in a related program at Strayer University will receive every tenth course at Strayer University at zero tuition.

 

SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome, Utica, NY
Awards more than 100 Academic Merit Transfer Scholarships. Applicants must have a GPA ranging between 3.25 to 3.5 for consideration. Most scholarships are renewable.

Dual Admission Scholarship: $1,000 (3.30 - 3.64 GPA) or $2,000 (3.65 - 4.0 GPA) per year for full-time study and half of that amount for part-time study. Students qualify by filling out the Dual Admission/ Letter of Intent form by 30 credits (credits from other institutions will be considered as part of the 30 credits).

Merit Scholarship: $12,000 (3.41 - 4.0 GPA), $7,500 (3.01 - 3.4 GPA), $5,000 (2.76 - 3.0 GPA) and $4,000 (2.51 - 2.75 GPA), based on cumulative GPA and major. A minimum of 12 transferable credits are needed to be considered for the scholarship. Part-time and second degree candidates are not eligible.

Transfer Scholarships: $7,000 (3.5 - 4.0 GPA), $5,000 (3.0 - 3.49). If you have attended more than one college or university, the average of the GPAs will be used for eligibility criteria.
