Transfer Admissions Articulation Agreement

This agreement provides for the admission of Bucks County Community College graduates to Saint Joseph’s University College of Professional and Liberal Studies for select bachelor degree programs. 

Program Articulations

The following Bucks Associate degree programs are part of the Transfer Agreement.  Program guides outline courses to meet both Bucks and SJU requirements.

Transfer Requirements

  • Bucks graduates are guaranteed admission to the specified programs if they:
    • complete and submit an “Intent to Enroll ” form on or before completion of forty-five (45) transferable credits;
    • graduate from Bucks with a designated Associate degree with a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average; and
    • satisfy SJU’s College of Professional & Liberal Studies transfer admission requirements.
    • All Bucks transferable courses with a grade of C or higher will be eligible for transfer to SJU College of Professional & Liberal Studies.
    • Bucks courses earned through Prior Learning Assessment will be subject to review by SJU College of Professional & Liberal Studies.  Automatic transfer of credit is not guaranteed.
    • A maximum of 75 relevant transferable credits are eligible for transfer to SJU College of Professional & Liberal Studies.  To maximize transfer of courses beyond those specified in the program guides, consult SJU College of Professional & Liberal Studies Admissions.
    • Students must be admitted directly to SJU College of Professional & Liberal Studies within five years of completing an associate degree program of study. 

Benefits

  • Students who sign the Intent to Enroll Form will have the $20 application fee waived.
    • Full-time students entering SJU College of Professional & Liberal Studies with third year (junior) status (60+ credits) will typically be able to complete a bachelor’s degree within four regular terms in a parallel program, provided the student completes the appropriate Associate Degree program at Bucks and completes the appropriate sequence of courses at SJU’s College of Professional & Liberal Studies. 
    • Scholarships are available for students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Scholarships

Bucks transfer students who enroll on a full-time (12+ credits) or part-time (6-9 credits) basis are eligible to receive a merit scholarship based on their Bucks transfer Grade Point Average (GPA) and the number of credits they enroll in the SJU’s College of Professional & Liberal Studies program.

Full-Time Enrolled Students (registered for 12-15 credits)

  • Transfer GPA 3.0-3.49                 $2,500 per academic year/$1,250 per semester
  • Transfer GPA 3.5-3.69                 $3,500 per academic year/$1,750 per semester
  • Transfer GPA 3.7-4.0                   $5,000 per academic year/$2,500 per semester

Three-quarter time enrolled (9 credits per semester)

  • Transfer GPA 3.0-3.49                 $1,875 per academic year/$937.50 per semester
  • Transfer GPA 3.5-3.69                 $2,625 per academic year/$1,312.50 per semester
  • Transfer GPA 3.7-4.0                   $3,750 per academic year/ $1,875 per semester

Half-Time enrolled (6 credits per semester) Minimum course load to be considered for scholarship

  • Transfer GPA 3.0-3.49                 $1,250 per academic year/$625 per semester
  • Transfer GPA 3.5-3.69                 $1,750 per academic year/$875 per semester
  • Transfer GPA 3.7-4.0                   $2,500 per academic year/ $1,250 per semester

Students attending SJU’s College of Professional & Liberal Studies’ off-campus locations at a discounted tuition rate are not eligible for merit or transfer scholarships. Scholarships are awarded for fall and spring semesters only.
