Expand Your Horizons This Summer with Credit or Noncredit Courses

  • Scholars from 260 other institutions attend Bucks to catch up or get ahead, then transfer credits back to their ‘home’ school
  • Plenty of noncredit opportunities are also available through Continuing Education

They come from all over the country – from American University to Xavier University and nearly 260 other schools in between – to attend Bucks County Community College each summer. These students choose Bucks to catch up, get ahead or learn something new, then transfer credits back to their “home” institution.

This summer, Bucks is offering courses in the classroom, online, and in a “hybrid” format, which is a mix of face-to-face and online learning. Classes last from six to 12 weeks, depending on the format, and meet at the college’s Newtown campus, the UpperBucks Campus in Perkasie, and the Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol Township.

The variety of courses offered also attracts summer scholars.  Fundamentals such as algebra, biology, and English composition are available along with computer and information science, management, nursing, music, and much more. A listing of the more than 200 courses offered this summer is also available on the college’s website at www.bucks.edu

The last summer session starts July 6. For more information, contact Admissions at 215-968-8100.

In addition, Bucks offers hundreds of noncredit courses through its Department of Continuing Education. These range from professional certifcation programs to Act 48 credits for teachers to personal development. A complete listing is available online. To learn more, contact ConEd at 215-968-8409.
