3-D Arts at Kids on Campus, 2009Kids on Campus – Bucks County Community College’s popular day camp program that has been enriching youngsters for more than 25 years – is offering dozens of opportunities at two locations this summer. What's more, Kids on Campus is affiliated with the American Camping Association.

This year, eight weeks of adventure are available at the Newtown campus, located at 275 Swamp Rd. Children ages 4 to 15 and over can take part in a variety of weekly themes from June 22 through August 14. Meanwhile, several camps will be offered at the Lower Bucks Campus at 1304 Veterans Highway in Bristol from July 6 through 24 for kids who are age 7 through 15 and over.

Kids on Campus, 3-D Art, 2009“Kids get to spend a full week doing something that they’re really interested in, such as lacrosse, jewelry making, or computers,” says Joan Christianson, Director of Continuing Education, the branch of the college that runs Kids on Campus.

Parents of campers agree. In a survey conducted by the college, parents said they liked the “great selection of interesting camps” that “focus on a single topic of interest” so that “kids learn something while having fun.” Other responses lauded Kids on Campus’ “talented and enthusiastic staff,” its “well-supervised, safe environment,” and the “good facilities that give kids a ‘campus’ experience.”
