The Bristol Borough Police Benevolent Association (BBPBA) recently established the Detective Charles C. Favoroso Memorial Scholarship at Bucks County Community College (BCCC) to honor and remember their fellow officer who passed away in 1992. The $1,000 scholarship will benefit a student enrolled in BCCC’s Criminal Justice Program. Preference is given to students who reside in Bristol Borough.

“The members of the Bristol Borough PBA are always looking for ways to help the town, and in particular the young people who are our future,” said BBPBA President Joe Moors. “This scholarship will allow us to reach that goal by providing a helping hand to a college student who seeks to make a career in law enforcement and become a positive role model.”
Representing the BBPBA, Sergeant Bill Lutz (left) presented the check at BCCC’s Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol, Pa., joined by (from left to right) Chief Arnold Porter, James Sell, Executive Director of the Lower Bucks Campus, retired Tullytown Borough Police Chief Gasper Favoroso (front) and fellow BBPBA members Patrolman Kevin DiPaolo (back), Patrolman Justin Gross, and Patrolman William Davis.
“We are grateful to the Bristol Borough PBA for establishing this scholarship in memory of Chuck,” said Favoroso, who represented the family during the announcement.
