BCCC Foundation Hosts 15th Annual Golf Classic
Scholarship fundraiser to take place at Philmont Country Club’s North Course, Huntingdon Valley, on Aug. 24
By popular demand, the Bucks County Community College Foundation’s annual Golf Classic returns to the prestigious North Course at Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley Monday, August 24.
Last year’s event quickly sold out as dozens of golfers took to the links to raise funds for scholarships, projects and programs at the college. Now in its 15th year, the BCCC Foundation Golf Classic has added forecaddies included with every foursome for the first time. Also, a “ringer” sponsorship allows a twosome to team up with a pair of golfers from the BCCC Centurions golf team. And a “Swing Action Video” will be available for each participant.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by lunch from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tee-off is at noon, with a shotgun start and a “shamble” format. The festivities conclude with a 5 p.m. cocktail reception with a silent auction, followed by dinner and awards. Prizes will be given for closest to the pin, longest drive, and a car for a hole in one.
Philmont Country Club is located at 301 Tomlinson Rd., Huntingdon Valley, Pa. The event is made possible by a 15-person committee of volunteers, co-chaired by Brett Diakon and Garney Morris.
Tournament benefactors are Independence Blue Cross and Joseph Jingoli & Son, Inc. Corporate sponsorships are still available. For more information about the BCCC Foundation Golf Classic or to register, contact the Foundation at 215-968-8224.
