WebCT 6 Focus Group and Pilot Project
Are you willing to participate in a pilot of WebCT 6?
Would you be willing to be part of an instructor focus group?
We're looking for a broad cross-section of courses and instructors who can help us
as we venture from WebCT 4.1 to 6.
- Focus Group Members will receive periodic calls from Online Learning to
ask for opinions or tryouts of various setups and features to help us determine whether they
will work for our larger instructor population. Group members need not be teaching a pilot 6 course
(although they may do both).
We anticipate tapping our Focus Group with questions primarily this spring and summer. However, questions
may also arise during the fall as we continue to fine-tune our implementation.
- Pilot Instructors. These hardy souls will help trial course conversion from
4.1 to 6 and will be the first to use the new procedures, new functionality, and new support tools, while
running their actual course with live students.
We hope to be up and running with a limited pilot during June and Summer II, with a full pilot running in Fall. Therefore, we're seeking applicants who are scheduled to teach
in June modular, Summer II, and/or Fall.
While we can expect a few bumps along the road, participants will receive training, lots of support,
hand-holding, and hands-on assistance as we figure this thing out together.
We're looking for courses that use ePacks and courses that do NOT use ePacks; instructors
with lots of experience with WebCT, some with just a little experience, and some in between. Courses that use many WebCT tools are also very attractive for this pilot. Both credit and non-credit courses are welcome.
If you're interested in participating in either or both of these capacities, please share the
following information with us so we can
make the best possible selection to represent the range of BCCC experiences.
