Online Learning attracts the mature students, more of whom benefit by the opportunities provided through the PLA (Prior Learning Assessment Program).  This program can offer flexible options for earning college credits.  This includes such examinations as CLEP, DANTES, TECEP, NYU foreign language examinations, etc.  The well-written PORTFOLIO, demonstrating specific competencies in relation to the course objectives of a specific course syllabus, is one more format for the experienced and mature student to earn college credits.
